Levity is pleased to announce that we have completed a private equity investment deal that will bring significant finance and skills as we enter a period of rapid growth as a business. Two new directors will be joining the board, alongside founders David Marks and Anna Weston who still retain a controlling interest in Levity.
Mike Peters MBE joins Levity as Commercial Director.
Mike, who was awarded an MBE in 2013 for services to Northwest industry, has a strong track record in the chemical manufacturing industry. At UPL Mike built a £38,000,000 turnover company with a staff of 250. Mike has taken multiple companies from startup through to sale.
Mike said “My expertise is in getting the very best out of a business and its team, building the best team to run the business for long term stability and profitability. I have a passion for British manufacturing. Levity is an exciting company with great ideas and a solid plan for growth” he added “I am looking forwards to working with David and Anna to help establish Levity as a global player in the fertiliser industry”.
Mick Weston joins Levity as Director
Mick has vast experience in managing large projects through to completion in the third sector, gained in his 20 years as Head of operations at Lancashire Wildlife Trust. Mick has been responsible for getting large-scale infrastructure projects from inception through completion such as the 262ha Brockholes nature reserve.
Mick said “My skills are in getting large projects off the ground, and it is great to be involved in helping complete some of Levity’s ambitious projects to help improve sustainability in world agriculture”.
The deal brings significant new finance into Levity alongside a strong new management team. The money will be used to fund Levity’s ambitious research and development programme as it’s first stage products start to hit the market.

He added “this deal brings us skills and resource to grow Levity”.
Levity MD Anna Weston said “Our LiNk Nitrogen technology based products are now entering the market, with major deals on distribution to be announced in the coming weeks. This investment will enable Levity to bring products to market that can help farmers produce more food with lower inputs in challenging environments.
